How payment works
- Secure payment link with credit or debit card (Flow).
- Cabins and 4x4: 30% deposit to confirm and balance on arrival.
- Tours, e-bikes, kayaks and massages: full payment when booking.
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before; between 48 and 24 hours, 50% is charged; under 24 hours, 100%.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get to the lodge?
From El Tepual Airport it is 55 minutes on Route 225 (Puerto Varas → Ensenada); we are at km 3 of the road to Petrohué, wooden gate on the left with a "Bahía Coihue" sign. Airport transfer available ($45,000 CLP per leg) and free parking.
What is the weather like and what should I bring?
Southern Chile: it can rain any day of the year. Layers, a waterproof windbreaker and closed shoes; sunscreen in summer; a swimsuit and towel for the hot springs.
Is there wifi and mobile signal?
Satellite wifi in all three cabins (enough to work and stream). Good signal with Entel and Movistar, patchy with other carriers.
How is the heating?
Wood stove in every cabin, with firewood included for the whole stay.
Are there supermarkets or restaurants nearby?
A minimarket in Ensenada 5 minutes away; supermarkets in Puerto Varas (45 minutes). Local restaurants 5–10 minutes by car; we hand you the list on arrival.
Can I go up the Osorno volcano?
You can drive up to the ski center all year round (it is part of our Petrohué tour). The summit is only with a certified mountain guide and we do not organize it.
Do you have a pool or jacuzzi?
We have neither a pool nor a jacuzzi. Cabaña Ulmo has an outdoor hot tub.
Do you accept pets?
Only in Cabaña Ulmo, one pet maximum, $10,000 CLP per stay.
Can children go rafting?
From age 12 and able to swim. For younger kids we recommend Petrohué or the hot springs.
What if it rains on the day of the tour?
Petrohué and the hot springs run rain or shine. Rafting is only cancelled when the river floods: we reschedule or refund 100%.
Can I rent just the kayak or the e-bike without staying?
Yes, with pick-up at the lodge between 09:00 and 18:00.
What time is breakfast?
Between 08:30 and 10:30 the basket is left at your cabin door when you book the country breakfast (included from 3 nights).
Is there an electric car charger?
Not yet.
